FAR//FERN – An interpretation of “The Hero´s Journey” by NDZW

FAR//FERN is a visual interpretation of chosen steps from „The Hero’s Journey” formulated by Joseph Campbell.

Filmed across several locations in Vienna and Upper Austria the short film follows NDZW embarking on his own journey in search of greater understanding.

The movie is loosely based on the concept of the ”hero’s journey” popularized by Joseph Campbell in his book “The Hero with a Thousand Faces“.

Filmed across several locations in Vienna and Upper Austria, it combines two storylines. One is told through the works of NDZW – urban painter, illustrator and narrator at the same time, whereas the other one follows the artist embarking on his own actual journey in search of greater understanding of himself and his process.
