Curated by: Philipp Netolitzky in association with Kunstbogen
Farid Rueda is a Mexican street artist and well known for his large scale pieces with kaleidoscopic multicolored patterns. Rueda was born in Morecoles, officially titled as a free and sovereign state of Morelos he loves it.
This time he was visiting Vienna and created a colourful composition of a turtle flying in a galaxy. The title of the work is „Stationary Traveller“.
This young graffiti painter admits that he is very much influenced by such artists as John Baizley, Stuntkid, James Jean, Alphonse Mucha, Gustav Klimt and José de Ribera.
His new style is a total contrast to his works back in the days. He ran through a rapid development. For now most of his pieces are about animals and narrative scences with a wide variety of colors.
When he was visiting Vienna we had a meet up and a great time with the artists Luna and Fio Silva.
